Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and [company legal name], a company registered in India at [registered address](“DocFollow”, “we”, “us”).

They cover the DocFollow Doctor app, the DocFollow patient app, the clinic staff portal, and this website (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

DocFollow is a communication tool. It lets doctors and their patients exchange messages, and share prescriptions and medical records, between clinic visits.

• We are not a healthcare provider. Medical advice on DocFollow comes from your doctor, not from us. We do not check or endorse any advice given.
• DocFollow is not for emergencies. Replies can take hours or days. In an emergency, call 112 or your local ambulance service, or go to the nearest hospital.
• We do not verify medical registrations.Our team reviews each doctor’s profile before it goes live. That review is not a guarantee of a doctor’s qualifications.

You sign in with your mobile number and a one-time password sent by SMS. One mobile number can hold one doctor account or one patient account.

• You must give accurate details and keep them up to date.
• You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your phone secure.
• Tell us straight away at [support email] if you think someone else has used your account.
• You must be 18 or older to hold an account. [lawyer to confirm the position for patients who are minors, and how a parent or guardian acts for them]

• You must be a registered medical practitioner in India, and you must follow the rules of your profession. That includes the National Medical Commission’s regulations and the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines, where they apply.
• You are responsible for all clinical decisions and advice you give through DocFollow. Our tools help you communicate; they do not replace your judgement.
• You must enter your patients’ details carefully, especially their mobile number. A wrong number can link a record to the wrong person.
• You must have your patient’s consent before adding them, and before sharing their records through DocFollow. [lawyer to confirm the consent a doctor needs, and who holds it]
• If you give clinic staff access, you are responsible for what they do with it. Remove their access when they leave.
• We may approve, decline or suspend a doctor’s profile at our discretion.

• Your doctor decides when and how to reply. DocFollow does not promise a reply in any time.
• Do not use DocFollow for emergencies. Call 112 or go to the nearest hospital.
• Share information about yourself honestly. Your doctor relies on it to advise you.
• Records your doctor adds stay with your doctor. You can delete records you uploaded yourself, but not ones your doctor added.

When a doctor or clinic staff member photographs a prescription, DocFollow can use an automated system to read the medicines from the photo and fill them in.

• The result is a suggestion. A person always reviews and corrects it before it is saved.
• The original photo is always kept with the record, and is the source of truth.
• Automated reading can be wrong. The person saving the record is responsible for checking it against the photo.

You must not:

• use the Service for anything unlawful, harmful, or misleading;
• add a person, or share their information, without the right to do so;
• pretend to be a doctor, a patient, or anyone else;
• harass, abuse or threaten anyone;
• try to access accounts or data that are not yours, or to disrupt the Service;
• copy, resell or reverse-engineer the Service, except where the law allows it.

You keep the rights to the messages, photos and records you add. You give us permission to store, process and display them only as needed to run the Service for you and the people you share them with.

We do not sell your content, and we do not use it for advertising.

DocFollow is currently free to use. If we introduce fees for doctors, we will tell you at least [notice period, e.g. 30 days] in advance, and you can stop using the Service before they apply.

We work to keep DocFollow running, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. Mobile networks, phones and the services we rely on can fail.

We may change, add or remove features. We will tell you in advance of changes that affect you significantly.

The Service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for medical outcomes, for advice given by doctors, for delays in replies, or for indirect or consequential loss.

Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to [liability cap]. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.

You can stop using DocFollow at any time. To close your account, contact us at [support email].

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts others at risk, or where the law requires it. Where we can, we will tell you why.

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect, and ask you to agree again where the law requires it. The version at the top of this page shows which terms apply.
